ICICI Venture, IL&FS, Kotak fund take 9.55 pct in MCX

MUMBAI (Reuters) - Financial Technologies (India) Ltd said on Friday three Indian funds have together picked up 9.55 percent in Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (MCX).

ICICI Bank Ltd's ICICI Venture has bought 3.55 percent, IL&FS Investment Managers Ltd has picked up 5 percent while Kotak's India Growth Fund has taken 1 percent, it said in a statement.

Earlier in September, Citigroup and Merrill Lynch had each bought 5 percent stake in it, valuing the Financial Technologies-promoted firm at $1-1.1 billion.

"At this point I dont think we will be looking at more dilution of stake," Managing Director and CEO of MCX, Jignesh Shah, told a television channel.

After the stake sale, Financial Technologies will be holding around 37 percent stake in MCX, Shah added.
