Impressive line up of films for 2008

The first mega release of the year 2008, 'My name is Anthony Gonsalves' (MNIAG), produced by Sahara One Motion Pictures, will herald the birth of a new star in the Bollywood firmament, Nikhil Dwivedi, already acknowledged as Rs one crore star. The film directed by national award winner E Niwas, boasts of three other national award winners, Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Pawan Malhotra and also Dadasaheb Phalke award winner, Amrita Rao, as the leading lady.

MNIAG will be followed by the biggest and the slickest thriller 'Race', produced by TIPS Films, that boasts of an ensemble of stars including Saif Ali Khan, Akhshay Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Sameera Reddy. 'Race' is directed by the master craftsmen in the thriller genre, duo Abbas-Mustan.

The year 2008 will see Venus Records and tapes unleashing a juggernaut of films starting with 'Maan Gaye Mughul E Azam', directed by Sanjay Chhel, starring Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose.

The irrepressible Paresh Rawal leads the cast, which will also feature talents like Kay Kay and Pawan Malhotra.

After giving one of the most talked about films spiced with realism in 'Shoot out in Lokhandwala' and the innovative 'Dus Kahaniyan' Sanjay Gupta's, White Feather Films will continue to tread the uncharted path breaking cinema in 'Pankh' starring Bipasha Basu, introducing Maradona Rebello and Sudipto Chattopadhyay.

The year 2008 will also see the launch of 'Kambakth Ishq', directed by Sabir Khan, from the successful team of Sajid Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar, post the big hit 'Heyy Babyy'. Kareena Kapoor, who is the highest paid actress in Bollywood, will be cast opposite Akshay Kumar, who has given consecutive hits this year.

Raj Kumar Santoshi's film 'Halla Bol' and above all the most awaited film of the year, Ashutosh Gowarikar's magnum opus 'Jodha Akbar' starring two superstars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan, are also lined up.
